i already wrote you jongki, so this is just a bonus and doesn't count towards my 5 fills. 8D
Jonghun drives him insane, Hongki thinks. There is no other way to phrase it.
For one, it's not that the other man (and yes, they are men now, not young boys, something that Hongki can't help but stress every time) is always hovering over him, or even trying to get into every little aspect of his life— the problem is that Jonghun is always just there.
He expresses this to Jaejin one time, in confidence, but Jaein just looks at him like he is insane. Which he wholly blames Jonghun for.
"If it bugs you so much," Jaejin tells him, "then let Jonghyun-hyung know."
Hongki, of course, in true Hongki fashion, does not.
"Hongki, where are you going?" Jonghun will sometimes ask him, when he catches Hongki on his way out of the door.
"To party," Hongki answers one time, just to see what kind of reaction it would illicit from the other one.
Jonghun just raises an eyebrow at him, and laughs.
"Have fun," he admonishes with a smile.
This frustrates Hongki. He waits for the "Can I come with you?" or even the presumptuous "Let's go!" but they never come. It puzzles him— does Jonghun not want to spend time with him?
But okay, whatever, if Jonghun has his shit to do, he also has his own. Hongki shrugs, and nods at Jonghun as a good-bye, pulling the door open. He's not really going out to party anyway, he's just off to play some cideo games with Junhyung at the Beast dormitory.
Another thing that Jonghun does that bothers Hongki is when Hongki is out on his own, doing scheduled solo activities, he'd check his twitter and he'd find stupid Jonghun tweets that will make him snort, or laugh, or even just roll his eyes at the complete absurdity— but then their manager, or the director, or the PD will distract him with something, and then when he goes to check again, maybe even to send a reply, the tweet will be gone.
And then Hongki is never sure if it really was there or Jonghun really has just driven up a wall, making him hallucinate and imagine things.
"How do I tell Jonghun he's nuts?" Hongki asks Jang Geunsuk one time when he and Jonghun are both over the older man's house, hanging out and generally just messing around.
He is in Geunsuk's room, going through possible X-Box games they can play, while Jonghun is downstairs, in the kitchen, most likely buttering to Geunsuk's mother instead of just grabbing some snacks like he was supposed to do.
Geunsuk just laughs at Hongki's question. "I think you're the one who's nuts."
Hongki hates that secretly, he totally agrees.
But when they're together, nothing changes. Jonghun acts like everything is normal, like he isn't actively trying to push Hongki over the edge, so whatever, Hongki is cools, so he acts fittingly: carefree, too-cool-for-you, and generally exactly the same as he usually always is. Or at least would be, if he doesn't feel like he should be checking himself into an institution anytime soon.
