"Come on, wake up."
"Nnnnnhh - what?"
"Get up and put your clothes on, come on."
"Why?"
"We're going on a little field trip, so hurry your ass up," Jonghyun mumbles quite lazily himself, making a mental note to stop by in the bathroom again to splash some cold water on his face. He doesn't know why he's doing this, but that night particularly, it felt right. It felt needed.
Yonghwa comes out in faded jeans and an over sized shirt four and a half minutes later. Over sized shirt, maybe, or just an old shirt that Yonghwa has learned to make bigger, because Jonghyun still refuses to believe that he's shrinked. Not like his heart , anyways.
"Where are we going?" Yonghwa asks around a yawn, following Jonghyun to the car. They hop on in, or more like stumble in, and Yonghwa immediately rests his head against the passenger window.
"I don't know, somewhere new I guess."
"What's wrong with the old?"
Jonghyun looks over sharply and Yonghwa falls silent. They both know what this is about because it's always about the same thing. Except this time, Jonghyun tries to help, even if it won't work.
The engine starts and everything after that is lost in the blur of the motor.
Jonghyun finally stops driving after twenty, twenty five minutes. It's the middle of no where, really. An abandoned parking lot, not even a beach, or a park - but it'll have to do.
"So, we're just going to lie here?" Yonghwa asks cheekily, frowning and furrowing his brows. Jonghyun sees wrinkles and says nothing about the creases of worry.
"We're going to lie here until you learn to accept she's not coming back."
"I can't Jonghyun - I just, I can't forget about Seohyun."
"No one is asking you to forget about her," Jonghyun whispers and pulls his knees up against his chest, the bottom of his sneakers making a dragging sound against the pavement. "I'm just asking you learn to be happy again, you know? With us."
Yonghwa gulps down the burning in the back of his throat and just lies back.
